This amazing mobile phone comes packed with features and has a particularly astounding 12 megapixel digital camera. This camera is good enough to have digital camera retailers worried! With the super sensitive 12 megapixel sensor, xenon flash and a whole host of useful photography features like automatic “red eye” removal, this is possibly the best camera incorporated into a mobile device yet.
Nokia of course, know a thing or two about mobile phones, being the largest manufacturer of mobiles in the world. They seem to have used all their expertise in the development of the Nokia N8 to produce a class leading smartphone. The N8 may have advanced features, but it is not made for advanced users! The Symbian operating system is designed for everyday phone users and is a delight to use – easy to navigate to the features and applications you require, with minumum fuss. This is a mobile anyone can get to grips with easily.
The power of the Symbian operating system combined with the 680 MHz processor, means slick transition between screens and applications with none of the “freezing” or “pixelation” seen on competing mobile phones. No doubt the massive 16Gb internal memory helps in this regard, but even this can be extended to 32Gb with a microSD card.
Web browsing with touch control is a breeze and the built-in GPS navigation feature can come in extremely handy. For entertainment the Nokia OVI player allows you to discover and download new music through your internet browser or your computer directly to your Nokia mobile. You can access entire albums or individual songs as mp3 files and of course check out all the latest releases.
The N8 is probably the pick of the modern smartphones with every feature you could imagine, wrapped up in the intuitive Nokia/Symbian interface, available on very competitive tariffs on contract through te major networks in the UK.
On an ordinary day in LA a group of normal people find their lives intersecting in unimaginable ways which will change each one of them forever.
Paul Haggis who is mostly known as the nominated Oscar screen writer for million dollar baby produces his first movie as a writer/director and sure enough it’s a good one. Haggis produces characters of all ethnic groups and from all walks of life and shows how just some brief encounters change that person in some way.
The race angle is looked at in this movie from every possible angle and each scene offers something really great whether it’s good strong acting to great lines or even something we didn’t expect, Crash offers energy, suspense and excitement in every scene.
Crash is a large character based movie, some of the characters include a very different sets of cops (Philippe and Dillon) to the district attorney and his wife (Fraser and Bullock) and even smaller characters such as Pena who is just a lock smith who turns out to have a very large and moving part in the movie.
Some of the coincidences in crash could be seen as unrealistic and the audiences wouldn’t believe what was happening if it wasn’t for the great script and perfect performances from all the cast. With all that being said the main reason this movie works is down to the brilliance of Haggis. Haggis makes this movie what it is; haggis looks at the big picture without being judgmental and shows compassion without being too soft.
Overall Crash is one of my all time top favourite movies. From great characters, strong acting, a brilliant story and much more Crash has everything a movie should. I award crash 5 out of 5 stars.
