Eclipse Book Review

In this third installment of the Twilight Series written by Stephenie Meyer, Bella Swan finds herself torn between a vampire and a werewolf. Once again Bella is in danger, and it is up to Edward and Jacob to save her. With the battle between vampires and werewolves, Bella soon must choose between the love of her life and a close friendship. In the midst of the battle, Bella deals with becoming an adult, graduating high school, and impending maturity. Can she really make the decision to become immortal?

Fans of fantasy and the young adult genre will enjoy this series, and I do suggest starting with the first book and continuing through to this third one. Though a reader should be able to understand this third book alone, to get the full effect, they should follow through the series.

I liked the growth of Bella’s character in this novel. She finally moves away from making selfish decisions without thought of others’ feelings. The writing style and vocabulary of this third book is greatly improved from the last two. I enjoyed the writing in this book much more than the previous books.

Yet the plot of this one irked me. Although there is less downtime in this one (the first halves of the first two books dragged on endlessly), and more action comparatively, it seems like less actually happens. I didn’t particularly like where some characters went in this book, the decisions and actions made. I don’t want to give away important plot points, but some of it was inconceivable to me. I didn’t always believe the emotions and actions of the characters stayed true to the characters themselves.

Moving on to something else – I wasn’t in love with this series, though I did want to read the books to know the story. It interested me enough to want to know what would happen next, but I’m ready to move on.

I think fans of YA novels, and fans of vampire/werewolf mythologies will enjoy this novel (and the other two in the series). Some of the aspects of each “monster” are unique and interesting. At the same time, Meyer presents the story in a very real way, so that people who aren’t readily excited to read fantasy can enjoy the series, too.

Although I didn’t particularly love this series, I did race to finish it. It’s worth a read, really. I just won’t be re-reading it anytime soon.

Mad Trucker Game Review

Racing games have been created. Some have been disqualified, others banned, but none compares to the Mad Trucker. A compressive, progressive and entertaining virtue drive game that will leave you at the edge of your seat and want to take another ride right after completing the tenth one. This is one of those games that nobody wants to miss.

Playing this game is easy and entertaining. The game is designed on a friendly platform which enables it to run smoothly on any PC. The graphics are of high quality and run without interruptions caused by delays due to poor designing. Sound is of high quality and with good output speakers, this game will convince you enough to believe you were driving a real truck. The game creators and designers have reality in mind and have incorporated one of the best graphics in the game to give you a realistic virtue driving.

The Mad Trucker game controls are easy to use. All that you need is the use of the keyboard arrow keys to move the vehicle to your preferred direction. This is easy to do since all that you need is placing your fingers on the arrow keys, fix your eyes to the screen and you are clear to go. It makes the game easy to play and with your gaze on the road on your screen, you are totally drawn into the game to the extent that you feel as if you are actually driving the truck.

The main aim of the game is simple to understand and accomplish. The main aim in this fast paced upgrade and truck driving is to drive the truck as fast as you can on the highway, stop for food and gas and make it to your destination within the shortest time possible. The truck is prone to damages and thereby you need repairs as fast as you can else you lag behind time and lose the game. You can also receive upgrades by stopping to shops. This is all that is needed of you in the game; speed, care and meeting the upgrades to win the game.

Playing the Mad Trucker is easy and best when played online. It is made of light components which do not delay your game play or create laggings in the game running. All that you need to enjoy this game to the fullest is a computer which is internet enabled and you are clear to go. The game is designed to run under a slow connection without much delay.

Magic Farm Game Review

The Magic Farm game coming from game development company Meridian 93 is a Time Management installment about a young entrepreneur with a magical green thumb off to save her beloved parents. While the theme of the story is not entirely new, there may be still something about this game that holds it interesting, and that’s what we’ll get to see on this review.

The story of the Magic Farm game starts as a young country girl sets off on a quest to find her long lost parents. Hoping to gather some money for her journey, she then starts to do what she does best – planting flowers and selling them for profit. And that sums up also the game’s overall objectives.

Half of the mechanics of the Magic Farm game involves you planting flower plants, watering them and keeping them away from pests until they grow blooms for sell. Buy additional equipment to expand your production and gain experience for you to level up your skills in planting. In later parts, you’ll also get to have a companion in the form of a little dragon named Robin. Robin can level up his skills too, making him a very valuable ally as the game goes along.

The other half of this game is an RPG-like adventure that involves you talking to people for the further development of the story. The NPC characters in the game present you tasks and quests to accomplish, thus adding more interest to the whole game experience.

The Review

The Magic Farm game consists of a very engaging story line coupled with visually attractive graphics and relaxing music perfect for the game’s mood. The game play is very smooth too and you won’t have any trouble clicking through the several items during the actual action game.

The presence of the dragon, Robin, is also very convenient. Besides from being a cute little creature, he’s also a great help during the frantic Time Management parts of the game. One bit of trivia: Robin Games is actually Meridian 93′s casual gaming branch. You think there’s a connection between the two? :-)

Anyway, a little bit of downside to the Magic Farm game is that for every town you’re character visit, you’ll have to start over from scratch into building another farm. While this may annoy you because of the seeming loss of your progress, it’s also one way the game introduces you to more plants, more enemies and more profit from your products. I guess, basing on that, it can be quite a good thing too.

All in all, the Magic Farm game is really an engaging game filled with hours and hours of great story line and game play. I had fun playing it and I suggest you try it out too.
